The only real way to get backwards capability is to buy a used (3 year old) 60 gb ps3 on Ebay and pay a premium for it. You can buy this brand new one (which I hear uses less energy too) and a brand new ps2 for roughly the same amount of money as that used one on ebay...so why wouldn't you do that? I know why, because your ps2 still works! I got this one and I kept my ps2, works fine for me. Heck, I still wish I had my old NES, SNES, and Genesis.Get more detail about PlayStation 3 80GB.
