PlayStation 3 80GB This instant

I have had a PS3 for a little over two years and I thought I would weigh in on it. I first got it December of 2006, and the games were few and far between. It sat untouched for 6 months save for Resistance: Fall of Man. Once the games started to roll in (it began with Warhawk in August 07), I play at least 4 to 5 times a week, sometimes for up to 2 or 3 hours a day. With all the great games out I don't think finding something to suit your tastes will be too hard, and don't forget about some big titles due in the first quarter of 09.

Positives: Free online play. this one is a biggie. pretty self explanatory. You can play games online for free. Downloadable content may cost some money, and games aren't free, just playing them online is.

built in wifi. no add-ons needed.

2.5" SATA hard drive can be swapped for bigger ones if you need some extra room for games, movies, music, pictures, ect.

Blu-ray format is standard on PS3.

The Playstation Network, or the online portion of PS3, is coming around very nicely. This includes the Playstation Store, Home, Trophies, Friends list, ect.

HDMI compatible means the best picture and sound possible when connected to an HD-capable TV and Reciever. Perfect for a top-quality home theater experience.

Negatives: Lacks some features the 360 has had since its launch(example: on the PS3, you can't talk to your friends through a headset unless you are in the same game, the 360 doesn't have this limitation. Also, the Xbox Live Marketplace is a bit more robust and has a wider selection than the PSNetwork. PSN is slowly gaining ground, it is much better than 2 years ago.)Get more detail about PlayStation 3 80GB.
